Next up was beloved acoustic pop outfit Never Shout Never. It’s safe to say the ladies love Christopher Drew. From the second the shaggy-haired frontman stepped on stage to his last wave goodbye after his three-song set, a steady steam of screams filled the air. “Let’s try a social experiment. Everyone show me a peace sign. It’s all about peace and love. This song is about falling in love with a girl before knowing her name,” he said before launching into his heart-melting “Jane Doe.” He of course also showcased his Almost Alice bonus track “Sea What We Seas,” a more psychedelic, wandering effort than what you may be used to from his previous work, but a fittingly self-proclaimed “trippy” track. The singer ran into some mic issues at the beginning of his final song, but with a little encouragement from his fans’ screams and cellphones waving in the air he got through “What Is Love?” (the title track from his recent major label debut).
